I'm not sure I am in the right forum bucause I am not sure which version I have in my Win2000 OS. Anyway, when I am IIS manager, the icon for SMTP has a red dot with a white "X". Of course when I try to start it, I get an error message: "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. Check the Windows Event Viewer for details." There is nothing about this in the event viewer. I have tried uninstalling the SMTP service but that did not work. Got any ideas, anybody?
